The Jerusalem International Conference on Integrative Medicine [13-15 May 2012, Jerusalem, Israel]
This conference will be a scientific meeting specifically designed to increase dialogue between physicians, therapists, nurses and pharmacists who specialize in a variety of traditional healing disciplines. This includes (but is not limited to) professionals involved in pain management, the improvement of movement, posture and motor systems, nutrition, wellness and aging, neurological, cognitive and memory disorders, depression, stress and sleep disturbances and oncology.
Over the past 100 years, evidence-based medicine has largely overtaken more traditional treatment methods, but in recent years, traditional medicine has rapidly regained popularity. In response, traditional medicine is being reincarnated as 'Integrative Medicine' and is in the process of being re-incorporated into many public and private health care systems all over the world.
This conference will bring together traditional healing methods, developed over thousands of years, from all over the world. For this reason, the conference will be conducted in English with simultaneous translation into French and German. What better place to hold an international Integrative Medicine conference than in Jerusalem, the crossroads of three continents where the ancient spice and incense routes met?
